Start with the Reset

The Reset includes five treatments and is often enough to address pain that isn’t deeply chronic. It’s also an excellent starting point for treating longer-standing pain or internal conditions.

In Chinese medicine, the first step in resolving chronic or internal disharmonies is often to treat the body’s outer three functional layers — the Tai Yang, Yang Ming, and Shao Yang. These are the levels where pain occurs, where many digestive concerns arise, and where the body and emotions are harmonized.

When these layers are out of balance, symptoms appear as excess conditions — things like tension, inflammation, or congestion. These are usually more responsive to acupuncture and tend to resolve more quickly. Addressing these excesses first allows the body to rebalance and prepares the deeper, interior (deficiency) layers for effective treatment.

In the best-case scenario, only the outer levels are affected — meaning the interior systems of the body remain strong and haven’t yet been depleted.

This program is a great choice if you’re ready to jump-start your healing and give your body the reset it needs to move back into balance.

For those with deeper or longer-standing conditions, completing the Reset often provides the foundation for the next phase of care. Many people continue with a 10-session program to support more complete healing and strengthen the body’s internal balance.

Continue for deep healing

The Pattern Reveal includes ten treatments and is designed for conditions that have developed over a longer period of time — whether it’s chronic pain, ongoing emotional imbalance, or internal disorders that reflect a deeper level of disharmony.

When pain or illness becomes chronic, it often means that the body’s interior systems — represented by the Tai Yin, Shao Yin, and Jue Yin layers — have been affected. These are the deeper functional levels that govern nourishment, circulation, and vitality. In these cases, the body’s resources of Qi, Blood, and Yang may have become depleted, or dampness accumulation resulting from weak digestive or kidney function, or there may be Blood stasis.

At this stage, treatment focuses on replenishing what is deficient, moving what has become stagnant, and restoring balance to the body’s inner workings. Acupuncture helps to re-establish smooth communication between the outer and inner levels, while gentle stimulation of key points encourages the body’s natural healing mechanisms to reawaken.

Because deeper imbalances take time to correct, herbal medicine is often an important part of this process. Classical herbal formulas can address deficiencies and accumulations more directly, supporting the body between acupuncture visits. When herbs are used, treatment may shift to acupuncture every 2–4 weeks, with the herbal formula evolving as the condition changes and improves.

This program is ideal for chronic conditions, long-standing pain, or internal patterns that need steady, layered support to fully restore health and vitality.

After completing the Restore program, many patients continue their progress with The Follow-Up File — ongoing sessions designed to maintain balance, prevent relapse, and support long-term wellbeing as the body continues to strengthen.
